Nancy Lange (from June 2006)

Emmaus received a double blessing when Chris Lange, our English and History professor, joined the faculty in 2000. He brought his talented wife Nancy along, and Emmaus gained an accomplished pianst as an adjunct faculty member.

Nancy was raised in a godly family and was saved at a very young age. She married Chris in 1972 and received her B.A. in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1973. Nancy started teaching private piano lessons when she was a young teenager and taught continuously until she moved to Dubuque and joined the Emmaus faculty.

The Langes have 4 grown children, 2 daughters-in-law and 1 grandson – all of whom have been involved with the Emmaus family at one time or another, either as students or employees or both (except grandson Daniel who is only 4 --  a future Emmaus student perhaps).

Nancy shares her husband’s passion for mentoring young believers. Along with her various music ministries at Asbury Community Chapel, Nancy has developed a special ministry to young girls, teaching them domestic skills, especially cooking, and mentoring them to become godly women.
