Jim Van Dine (from October 2003)

James M. Van Dine is the most recent addition to the Bible faculty. He earned his BA from Luther College in Decorah, IA, where he met his wife, Kathy, our current Registrar. Jim earned his Th.M. from DTS and entered full time Christian work, eventually ending up in Edmonton, AB where he worked with Clareview Bible Chapel and taught at Mt.Carmel Bible School. Through Mt. Carmel he became interested in the ministry of Emmaus. In 1997 he went back to DTS to study for his Ph.D. and is currently finishing his dissertation. He and Kathy serve as Youth Leaders at Asbury Community Chapel and Jim is on the Music Committee as well. Music is something Jim really enjoys and he has even joined the Emmaus Ensemble as a tenor. Jim and Kathy have four grown children: Kara, Marc (1998), Jenna (2000), and Hilary (current student). Jim’s goal for his students is for them to know the Word in Scripture and the Word Incarnate – Christ Himself.
